The hotel is nice has a really nice style and everything is excellent. The location is very central, near historic centre, the city center and the footbridge. Also, a resplendent monument is just a short walk away from the property. The guest room is en suite and has tea, coffee and a kettle.

The Family Studio was impressively spacious and well-appointed.
Unfortunately, the heating system was overly loud during the night.

The rooms were clean and cozy, perfect for a group getaway. The staff was friendly, great to leave our bags while we enjoyed the city. Perfect !
The only downside was that the room got a bit warm . We managed by opening the windows, but it could be an issue for some.

Absolutely loved our one night stay everything was perfect! The staff were so friendly and helpful, room was spotlessly clean and comfy. Just like my stay last november, will defo be back, no need to look for anywhere else. Everything we needed was in walking distance, just perfect! 10/10 Would highly recommend a stay at the city hotel.
Only issue was the window curtains were thin and let in some cold. The mattress on the single bed was a bit too hard for my liking.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The cozy family studio was great, and we even got complimentary water and snacks, which was a nice touch. Relaxing on the sun terrace with a drink in hand and the lovely garden view was perfect. The stairs to our top-floor room were a bit of a trek, but it didn't dampen our experience at all. 🌞

The location was perfect for exploring Durham, with plenty of attractions nearby, including the stunning cathedral. The room was newly decorated and very fresh, which made for a pleasant stay. It was also remarkably clean and organized, contributing to a comfortable experience. it would be helpful to have a mirror in the bedroom for styling hair, as there were none outside the bathroom.
